What is Magnesium? It is usually depicted as a metal, second only to steel and aluminum in popularity. Aside from that, people don’t know much more about it, even though it has so many uses. So, what is magnesium? Magnesium, …

Aluminum Die Cast Heat Sinks
Aluminum Heat Sinks are objects that draw heat from another object through thermal contact. They are mostly used in electronics and automobiles. Aluminum is a lightweight and sturdy material that has good thermal and electrical properties, that’s why it has become the material of choice for most heat sinks.
Aluminum heat sinks are produced by die casting by a Die Casting Company, a process wherein molten metal is forced is forced into mold cavities. The die casting process is beneficial if you are producing large quantities of small to medium sized automotive parts with good details. Prior to the introduction of die casting, most heat sinks are made by welding several pieces together and drilling holes, if required, after. This process is time consuming, costly, and labor extensive. Die cast aluminum heat sinks are good as raw parts but they can be powder coated and anodized easily.
Die Cast Aluminum heat sinks can be manufactured in a much faster rate—ranging from a few hundreds to a few thousands small to medium sized parts a day—because they can be produced in net shape and there are no welding and drilling methods needed after. Die casting saves time, money, and energy all together.
Die cast aluminum heat sinks are definitely lighter than their stainless steel counterparts, with a specific gravity of about 0.10 pounds per cubic inch. Because they are electrically conductive, aluminum heat sinks are used for radio frequency (RF) and electronic magnetic inductance (EMI) shields. This quality also allows them to be grounded easily.
Aluminum heat sinks are used in airplane parts, circuit boards, microwaves, cellular phones, satellite components, laser components, motor housings, automotive, lighting parts and many more.

Military Parts Enclosure Castings
Aluminum boxes are needed by many industries including the military. Enclosure castings and Housing castings are aluminum box castings or aluminum die casting parts. These enclosures are typically designed to hold electronic components into place using a printed circuit board or PC Board. Military Parts Enclosure Castings usually need to be anodized to protect the exterior from damage. Sometimes the Military Parts Enclosure Castings are powder coated or painted for aesthetic reasons. occasionally these Military Parts Enclosure Castings need to be impregnated with a sealing material specified by the U.S. Government blueprints and then also penetrant inspected or Zyglo inspected to ensure the Military Parts Enclosure Castings do not have porosity and are not cracked. Military Parts Enclosure Castings need to be machined to mount “D” connectors and to add threads for screws to mount a cover for the box.
Kinetic Die Casting Company produces aluminum die casting parts, including Military Parts Enclosure Castings. When we produce aluminum die casting parts, we also supply certifications for “Material Certifications” and “Certification of U.S. Manufacture” and “Certification of Conformance” and “Certification of Processes”.
Military Parts Enclosure Castings are die cast aluminum boxes used by companies to produce military parts. Die Casting Tooling can take as little as six to eight weeks but typically it takes ten to twelve weeks to make tooling for die castings. After the tooling is made, Kinetic Die Casting can ship parts in two weeks. The typical delivery for Military Parts Enclosure Castings is from four to six weeks.

Aluminum Golfing Parts
Kinetic Die Casting produces aluminum die casting parts used as Aluminum Golfing Parts. There are many Aluminum Golfing Parts sold everyday in golf shops and sporting goods stores. The heads on some golf clubs are die cast in aluminum. Golf pull carts have aluminum handles, aluminum brackets and aluminum knobs that are die cast in aluminum.
Aluminum Golfing Parts
Kinetic Die Casting currently makes two different products that would be considered Aluminum Golfing Parts.
- Oakley Sunglass Holder Nosepiece
- Hot Biscuits™ Golf Ball Heater
Kinetic Die Casting specializes in low quantity aluminum die castings for many industries. We have helped many companies with their products, including Aluminum Golfing Parts Companies.

Bracket Castings on Boeing 747-700 Airplane
Finding Die Casting Bracket Castings in many very different locations is interesting. While flying in a Boeing 747-700 Airplane I discovered that the “Seat-Back Tray-Table” is held up using two aluminum die casting parts as Bracket Castings. These bracket castings were attached to the seat back of the seat in front and to a plastic tray table. These aluminum bracket castings are painted white to match their surroundings. These aluminum brackets are strong enough to hold a laptop or a plate of food or even the hands of someone working a puzzle or a book. These brackets are strong because they are designed using geometry that gives the bracket casting strength with corner radii and ribs and gussets.
Aluminum Die Casting Airplane Parts are very common. Most airplanes are made from aluminum as the metal of choice. Aluminum is lightweight and strong.
Aluminum Handle in Die Casting
Kinetic Die Casting is currently making an die casting tooling insert to produce an Aluminum Handle in Die Casting. This aluminum handle will be used as an aluminum airplane part. There are requirements for X-Ray for the Aluminum Die Casting Part. A special square hole will be diecast into place using minimal die casting draft in the part. This part will also have a threaded hole in the side to allow for a tightening screw. The die casting insert tool for the Aluminum Handle in Die Casting will take about eight weeks to produce and aluminum die casting part samples will be produced within a week of tooling insert completion.
