Prototype Parts - Options

Stereo Lithography ( SLA )
SLA is a process that converts a three dimensional (3D) file into a plastic part in a matter of a few hours or days. Kinetic Die Casting has provided many SLA parts to prove a design for our customers. Sometimes a customer needs a sample of what will be produced in the die casting mold to prove "form, fit or function". Many times a simple SLA in hand answers many questions. SLA parts are fragile and can be broken if dropped.

Prototype Castings
Prototype castings are produced using a special SLA as a template for a form and then a few castings can be produced. The process is very fast and accurate for prototype custom metal parts. Many times metal parts can be produced in less than a few weeks. These parts are metal and are more sturdy than the plastic SLA parts.

CNC custom metal parts
CNC machining of custom metal parts is less expensive when producing more than a few parts for prototype. The 3D model can be translated into a machining program and as many as a few hundred parts can be produced in a week. These parts are machined in metal, usually aluminum but also can be steel or zinc. Steel and zinc are heavier and may not or may not be stronger than aluminum.

Using Aluminum Die Casting as a Production Manufacturing Process

Kinetic Die Casting production people will assist you with your custom metal parts design, prototype, die cast production, machining the parts and finish the surface of many kinds of custom aluminum die cast parts. Kinetic Die Casting can produce aluminum die casting parts from several electronic or other consumer based electronic industries, such as audio, video, cable parts for housings, aluminum heat sinks or custom metal enclosures.

Electronic Enclosure Housings are aluminum die casting parts that are a natural for EMI or RF shielding. Custom metal die casting parts have a nice surface finish. We make custom metal die casting hand tools or die casting construction tools we can produce for your company. Custom die casting handles for concrete trowels, tile tools, handle parts, brush products and asphalt tools. Some of our customers require a polished finish or an additional in house tumble or de burr process. Lighter weight custom aluminum die cast parts with greater strength is what some of our customers request. We can produce custom die casting lighting parts for several manufacturers, from outdoors to indoor lighting die castings, commercial or consumer based lighting. We use die casting metal materials that slow corrosion and adhere paint well.
