09.21.22 – Pioneer die castings is closed. Pioneer DC was a manufacturing company located in Los Angeles, California. Also known as, Pioneer Die Casting Company at 4209 Chevy Chase Drive, L.A., CA 90039 their phone number was (323) 245-6561. They were open over 70 years. They were primarily operating in the aluminum die castings business.
Pioneer Diecasters company employed about 17 people when closing their die casting business in 2022. Carl H. Spahr is about 82 years old and he was active in the daily business.

Kinetic Die Casting Company makes many types of die casting parts. In most cases we make a part a minute. The larger or heavier a die casting part, the slower the production rate. Some of these parts are large roof tile mold castings that are 17″ long.

These roof tile molds are produced one part every two or three minutes or about 250 parts a day in a single shift.
Some of these parts are small clips used in lighting fixtures that are only 1/8″ long. In one case, we make over 3,000 water pump housings in a single day.

We are currently in need of an experienced die casting supervisor that understands how to operate a die casting machine so they can train new employees. How to change cavity inserts in a die casting tool or mold base. How to setup or assist the setup of a mold/die in a die casting machine using a forklift. How to train employees on these jobs. We are paying a signup bonus. We are paying a referral bonus to anyone that send us the person we hire. The die casting supervisor will supervise workers and train aluminum die casting machine operators. Oversee die casting production employees. Manage setup person or preform setup duties or train setup person for die casting cavity insert changes and tooling changes and die casting machine setups. Oversee setup of trim presses. When we have equipment downtime, contact repair person or preform minor equipment repairs.
Kinetic Die Casting Company has been in business since 1994. We specialize in low quantity production. We have five cold chamber die casting machines that produce parts in aluminum, zinc and za27. Our die casting machines are Toshiba, HPM and Harvill that range from 250 tons to 600 tons. Our employees typically work four 10 hour days and get a three day weekend. We are currently running three shifts to keep up with our increased post Covid-19 production needs. Lately, we are offering 10 hours of overtime to our employees.
