In America today, is the first day of our season called Autumn. Autumn is also known as the first day of FALL. On this day the autumnal equinox, day and night are each about 12 hours long (with the actual time of equal day and night, in the Northern Hemisphere, occurring a few days after the autumnal equinox). The word equinox means “equal night”; night and day are about the same length of time. This time of year is known for color change of the leaves on trees, cooler nights, and harvest.
Please enjoy your Fall. Many Americans prefer the season of Autumn over the other seasons. The leaves begin to change color and the very hot days of summer are over.
